... let's say it's not necessarily always that of the most reliable of narrators ... and that, sometimes, the character I am portraying has an ulterior motive for their words and actions — even if, on occasion, it might be difficult to state exactly where the real me ends and the persona starts and declare that there were no chance of there existing a region on the map of my personality in which both and neither could be said to be (to greater or lesser extent) simultaneously true at various times ¹.
