Yes, it's meaningless coincidence. Jung was a hippy trained by Freud ... (how could he not be even more wrong than Freud himself?) ... and 'synchronicity' is no more than narcissism for the illiterate, the truism that everything happens for a reason reworded for the simple-minded and conspiracy theorists, for whom simple cause and effect aren't sufficient and things must be the result of shadowy powers with agendas (things not simply happening for a reason but doing so with intent and to them personally).
Meyers-Briggs (and anything derived from it) is a crock ... the psychological equivalent of the pursuit of alchemy guided by the reading of tealeaves — your natal horroscope (with moonsign and ascendant and planets in houses and squares and trines and all that nonsense), whilst no more valid than the MBTI is at least more consistent (unlike the MBTI, the results don't change every time it's calculated).
