Yep ... I know.

I was reading an article a day or so ago about how the influence of QAnon may … like rumours of Elvis’ death … be somewhat exaggerated — that, basically, Mel Gibson’s heard about it but pretty much no-one else has … and Julia Roberts has a low opinion of it.

But …

The fact remains that a number of Trump worshipping psychotics are running for government and are quite possibly going to do so successfully. So, whether the Public in the large is aware of QAnon or not is irrelevant, because, even if the GOP loses in November, they will still be in positions of influence, if not outright power.

I realise that, in the US, the idea that the government should be full of cultists is kinda like the idea that fish be surrounded by water, but I think this is the first time that it would contain members who regard the president as a literal saviour.

You guys seriously need to get the whole division of State and Church thing sorted out at last anyway: this is the 21st Century … theocracies were already recognised as a bad idea in the 18th and you can’t keep letting Creationists run the nation any longer.

But putting cultists in positions of power is leaving the realms of the merely embarrassing for the dangerous — before you know it, their holy prophet will be starting a world destroying nuclear conflagration because he’s been encouraged to do so by a bunch of maniacs who hope to bring about the Rapture as a result.

QAnon may not be as significant as those in the know claim it is now, no … but I read a letter to the British government written, in 1932, by a low-ranking member of the diplomatic corps, that was ignored because that Hitler fellow wasn’t a significant player … and look how that turned out — everyone’s heard of him today!

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live and too rare to die.
