Too glib.

Is every instance evidence that we are? I’d be willing to bet not — never attribute to malice aforethought that which is adequately explained by stupidity/incompetence.

Does that mean none is? I don’t for a second believe you’re that naive. Of course there are instances in which someone figured what they stood to gain by doing so outweighed the risks of getting caught doing it — you can’t ignore the man behind the curtain, even if they aren’t motivated by personal gain but concerned about the competitiveness in the marketplace of a business.
