I dunno … I’ve probably linked to this before already but, just in case I haven’t …
I’m slowly beginning to ask myself just how much I still don’t mean it and to what extent I might be coming around to the idea that it might just make sense after all: people really are not just stupid but wilfully ignorant … and I’m not sure that we (the planet) can afford to be so compassionate any more and that it isn’t finally time to just dig big pits … enormous great big pits, pits that seem to be bottomless to the naked eye and you can’t hear the stone hit the bottom when you throw one in, they’re that deep … and bury them alive.
I’m holding off on that still … for now … on the basis that there might be one last thing we can try …
But I’m not actually all that hopeful
