Seeing them altogether like this reminded me of Kit Williams’ Masquerade.

Can’t quite put my finger on why that should be … (something tonal maybe?) … but that that’s the thing about art, isn’t it? It’s all impressionism at the end of the day — we get an impression of what the artist meant to convey filtered through our own experience of Life.
