Please do not recommend that people install TAILS on a USB stick — wear levelling pretty much guarantees that the kind of person who does not know any better (and configures it badly), will leave data fragments on the stick that they can neither see nor erase.

In order to use TAILS as it is meant to be (i.e. guaranteed to leave no traces), burn it to CD/DVD and run it from there — short of nuking the planet from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure.
