Nope … I’ve said you need to listen to yourself and acknowledge that what you know you want to do but don’t want to admit to yourself (because that would make you ‘a bad person’) is something you will regret not doing.
If you do it and regret it, so be it, but not doing it will gnaw at you for the rest of your life.
What you can’t do is wish you could do something but refuse to allow yourself to because you’ve made a commitment … it will make you unhappy and, sooner or later, you will behave badly as a result — you have to be true to yourself, not someone else … most especially not the person you think you ought to be (because you aren’t that person and never will be).
Guilt will make you feel bad … but regret will eat you alive.
