your individual decisions in that context are not totally “yours” but are determined by the group internal dynamics and their calls for action.

No … your decisions are always yours and yours alone — no exceptions, no excuses … you are not part of a hive mind, with control of your own actions taken by the collective.

And you don’t have other options in that context if you want to “survive” as a member of that group.

No … you have other options, you just choose to survive as a member of the group rather than avail yourself of any of them — the decision to do so is yours and yours alone … why you pick a particular choice doesn’t change that.

Of course you can disagree, object, isolate yourself… but there are generally two options: do what the group says (whether you agree or not) or don’t do it.

Yes, but that changes nothing vis a vis your capacity to reach a decision independently.

Depending on your status in the group, you can also propose alternatives and be successful, but again, most of the time you won’t be given that chance.

Again, true but, again, that says nothing about your ability to decide not to side with the group or your responsibility for whatever decision you reach in that regard.

As adults, we have a duty to ourselves and others to make tough choices when they are the right/moral thing to do.

Resisting temptation is hard, yes … but that doesn’t make the decision to give in to it excusable — otherwise people wouldn’t get fat from sitting around munching junk food and doing no exercise … people wouldn’t go to prison for their crimes … people wouldn’t leave unfaithful partners … the list of the unpleasant consequences of poor decisions goes on …

Life is tough, often isn’t just or fair and taking a stand can be isolating; so, call the Samaritans … apparently they love sob stories — I on the other hand, have neither the time nor the inclination to listen to the pitiful whining of the developmentally arrested and/or morally bankrupt ¹.

¹ They made their beds … so let them lie in them.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live and too rare to die.
