No, well … pretty as they may be, the rest of us don’t use shells and coconuts as currency; which is a shame really … they’re prettier, more immediately valuable if you’re hungry/thirsty when the shops are closed and, apart from their bulk, no less useful as tokens of exchange than anything else we use … and I quite like the idea — but, there you go, we don’t pay a woman’s dowry in goats/camels/horses any more either … not in the First World anyway ¹.

Use the funds to purchase things on Amazon?


¹ Not that anyone sensible would ever offer a horse for a woman, of course ².

² After all, a good cigar is a smoke.
