No, that’s merely the inference you make because … so far … there has been no evidence to suggest the contrary.

We might, however, simply currently be in the space/time in the Universe/History where the algorithm we call Reality has no halted and indicated an exception to that ‘law’, making it a rule but not a law.

As likely as it may be that it is a law (I’m inclined to believe it is myself), we have no actual justification for claiming it is other than “Well, we haven’t seen anything else yet” — we’re not doing anything different than the gambler trusting that the next card will be high because they’ve just had a long lucky streak. All it takes is the discovery of one black swan some time in the Future to disprove our theory that all swans are white — the length of preceding time, during which we found no black swans, is immaterial.
