If it isn’t British ¹ then it’s wrong .

Unless I disagree with, or disapprove of, it … in which case, even if it’s British, it’s wrong — or, conversely, don’t … in which case it isn’t.

It really is that simple.

If you’re gonna have peas with it then, whether they be loose or in fritters, they have to be processed marrowfat peas, like in London — any other kind of pea is wrong.

Tartar sauce on chips is wrong — ketchup and/or mayo and/or gravy and/or curry sauce and/or sweet chilli, that’s it … anything else, even vinegar, is wrong

I have no idea what ‘adobo’ is but if I haven’t heard of it by now then it must be wrong — otherwise I’d’ve heard of it, wouldn’t I?


¹ Meaning ‘of or from the British Isles’ — so, including Éire too.
