I wouldn’t know; I’m not into manga/anime … nor giant robots … nor giant lizards/gorillas … it all left me cold as a child and hasn’t grown on me since — I was already too much of an adult to play with vroomvrooms in the sandpit by the time I got to school and I’m not senile yet, so, it still doesn’t appeal.

But … I’ll give Catherine a pass because it doesn’t do any of that and isn’t even anime as far as I’m concerned — it’s just animation that happens to be Japanese.

And I hate platformers or games that pretend not be platformers but are really (like Tomb Raider).

But, again, I’ll give Catherine a pass because it’s just so original.

I hate beat-’em-ups too but also have time for Lollipop Chainsaw. Well, what’s not to love about a chainsaw-wielding, zombie-hunting cheerleader? I mean … the only way it could get any better than that would be if someone turned the zombie cheerleaders episode of Misfits into a game …
