I will argue that Psychology (scientific Psychology, not Psychiatry or Psychoanalysis) … where it gets it right … does a great job (especially, and increasingly, in neuro).

But, yes, it is a human endeavour and, therefore, a bit of a mixed bag — sometimes good, sometimes bad and sometimes so so.
