I was gonna write this off as unnecessarily pedantic but by the end I was laughing my head off … kudos.

It is still unnecessarily pedantic in this particular context ¹ but, at the same time, you’re absolutely right, so … I dunno … it’s probably as well that you said it for the reasons you did, so that people who aren’t well versed in neuroscientific study go and investigate a bit more before believing the brain is made of ‘wired’ up regions.

Either way around though, I’m glad I stopped to read it … thanks for the laugh!


¹ In which, I suspect, people who, as it were, already know a thing or two about neuroscience are the largest part of the readership and can, therefore, accept the ‘useful lie’ shorthand without taking it as anything more than a functional analogy, not an attempt to model the brain with any serious accuracy.
