Human nature being what it is, and the laws of unintended consequences what they are, I can’t say I have any great faith in any particular system of governance, let alone any I might dream up myself … (whatever it is, so far at least, History would appear to indicate that, sooner or later, someone will always try to game, if not completely overturn, whatever system is in place) … but one thing I have become increasingly minded to believe is that things could be at least somewhat improved by reducing the adversarial nature of politics and the corruption of governance by doing away with political parties, thereby empowering those we elect to represent us to do so more than they are currently able …

Our representatives working with, rather than against, each other isn’t guaranteed not to result in adverse outcomes (those unintended consequences do insist on happening), but it might be worth a try, no?
