Courting The Kangaroo In The Chamber Of Stars

Josef K. — taken shortly before his trial

Typically useless non-communication from Medium:

Hello,

We are writing to once again remind you of our rules:

https://medium.com/policy/medium-rules-30e5502c4eb4

As mentioned in our previous message, we do understand that discourse and disagreement is part of this process, and is often a very necessary part indeed.

However, we do not allow harassment or personal attacks. We ask that you help our community by disengaging before conversation reaches the point of conflict, and treat others with respect.

As a reminder, if you find content you feel violates our rules, please flag it or email us for review, then block any user you are in conflict with and move on.

This is your second warning; any additional infractions will result in further action, up to and including suspension of your account.

Thank you

Medium Trust & Safety

This is meaningless.

I have not been in conflict with anyone that I’m aware of, so I can only assume that someone has reported a post (‘story’) of mine, or reply somewhere on another member’s post, for some reason … or that they have blocked me for some reason.

If Medium don’t indicate what the occasion was that resulted in my breaking the policies then it is pointless to inform me of it — without any clarification of precisely what policy I transgressed, where or when, it is simply an arbitrary slap on the wrist that supplies no learning opportunity and, as a result, does nothing to prevent me transgressing the same rule(s) in the same way in the Future.

They haven’t made anything clear here, never mind clarified in what way this is a second warning; a second warning about what, precisely … what am I alleged to have done, where, when and to whom? (The last time they communicated with me, it was the exact same, useless, message).

Useless … typically so.

So, I may not be around for very much longer … because there’s no way for me to ensure I don’t break whatever rule(s) I’m alleged to have broken.

It’s been nice knowing (some of 😜) you … and, erm, I guess that’s about it really.

Those of you who (very sensibly) want to stay in touch in the event I disappear from Medium:

… leave me a PM, saying so, and I’ll tell you how to do it.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live and too rare to die.
