Couldn’t really say.
I don’t know how non-Brits see me … only that they find me no less strange than the British but are more tolerant because I’m a foreigner and, therefore, by definition a weirdo — I do know that a lot of the British always found me odd though, so, who knows?
But, yes, he’s much more of a conservative/traditionalist/nationalist than I — English (which I am not … by virtue of being a second generation immigrant ¹).
And even his name isn’t Maurice Micklewhite these days — not many people know that either.
