Correlation is not causation.
Each <ahem> ‘universe’ has the same chance of having arisen as any other — the fact that others might arise does not mean that, statistically speaking, any given ‘universe’ must arise as a result of the existence of any other.
In any given probability space … like, say, the spin of a roulette wheel … even an infinite space with infinite resultant sequences … the chance of any given sequence occurring is equal to the chance of any other occurring — the chance of the ball landing on ‘0’ every time for all Eternity is equal to the chance of it landing on any other sequence of numbers in the same time.
The chance of this particular ‘universe’ having arisen as the result of an infinite number of ‘big bangs’ is, therefore, the same as it having arisen as the only ‘big bang’.
