Highly recommend going through your piles of shit to sort out what is really needed and what is not

As it happens, I’m having to do just that for various reasons anyway, because I'm going to have to add some things to the stuff in storage, but yes, in the not too distant future I'm gonna have to go through it all — a relocation is in the offing one way or another and if it's to foreign climes (yet) again ¹ I can't take absolutely everything with me, nor leave it in storage to the end of my days ².

But, as I've mentioned before, even though, over the years, I've managed be reasonably discerning ³, most of my stuff consists of experiences (books, music, movies), so it's next to impossible to get rid of most of it.

I'll have to throw out the tat like the UV/darklight reactive plastic lizards, 40-pattern LED spinning top, 20-LED flashing PS/2 computer mouse, light-up-in-the-dark PS/2 computer keyboard and what-have-you … but that still leaves things like the strobe-light, 40" UV/darklight tube, sound-activated laser lightshow box, powered 'disco' lights, plasma ball, PCB lampshade, various objets d'art of questionable taste, etc. ... not to mention nine computers, 4 CDJs, 3 sound mixers, multiple games consoles, enormous TV, 2 audio amplifiers, multiple speaker cabinets ... nor the kitchen appliances, crockery, cutlery of varying degrees of lethality, cups, glasses, clothes, bedding … furniture ... let alone tools for working on the car, carpentry, metalworking, etc.

<sigh>

I really do need a mansion, if not a palace.

since my hospital discharge

Which went well, I take it?

Big smooch on the forehead to you!

<blush>

¹ I do hope so, but I'm not convinced — Brexshit might've thrown an enormous spanner in those works <sigh>.

² Quite apart from it being pointless having stuff you never use, it's expensive.

³ I only have three shelf-units of books for instance ... and a cabinet of videos (which I'll have to rip to DVD or else replace with something less bulky) ... and three shelf units of CDs.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live and too rare to die.
